A Torch Flashlight to Get You Through a Zombie Apocalypse
Do you believe in a zombie apocalypse? If the answer is no, then you’ve probably never watched an episode of The Walking Dead. This show has given me shivers down the spine so many times, yet I still find myself in front of the TV every Monday night excited to see what’s coming next for Rick and his crew. If you too are a fan, you’ll know how important it is to always have a knife and a flashlight with you.
The knife is the obvious tool – you kill zombies with it to stay alive. The flashlight – well, since it’s a post – apocalyptic world and there’s no light around, flashlights are your life saviour because when it gets dark, things will get pretty spooky. So if you think running around an abandoned town in the middle of the night will make you look cool, think twice. Danger will be lurking from every corner, and without a weapon and a light you won’t be in a much favourable position. So trust me, you do not want to be stuck in the dark when there are thousands of zombies around.
Now it doesn’t matter if you believe in a zombie apocalypse or not, you know a spare light at home is always a good idea. It might not be a walking zombie approaching your house, but I’m sure you’ve all experienced a power outage – that’s when we understand the huge importance of electricity. Just like every house needs a bathroom and a kitchen, a house without a good torch flashlight is not a home. You should make sure your family always has a spare lightning at home because anything could happen and nobody likes spending too much time in the dark.
There’s a large number of flashlights on the market these days. You can choose between a pocket size, medium or a large torch flashlight, depending on your needs. The most recently produced torch flashlights are water resistant and very easy to use. Thanks to LED technology, the modern ones are very powerful in brightness, so even a small flashlight that you can carry around in your pocket can literally save you from trouble.
When purchasing, make sure you buy a durable torch. The type III aircraft grade or the type III hard anodizing flashlights seem to be very popular since they’ve proven to be both durable and powerful. The power source is another thing to keep in mind. Do you want rechargeable or disposable batteries? Modern manufacturers offer a variety of battery choices, so you can either go with a torch that requires a standard size battery, or one with a special battery for more power.
A torch is something you don’t know you need until it’s too late. If you start keeping some flashlights around, you’ll be surprised how often you actually need them. You can use them for your everyday chores such as looking for lost keys under the car seat or looking for some old toys in the basement. Moreover, they are also perfect for self defense – either from an ugly walking zombie or an evil human being. So if you’re slowly loading up your bags for a zombie or any other apocalypse for that matter, don’t close them until you’ve made sure you packed a flashlight and batteries that will come in very handy eventually.
